The Little Mouse and the Mysterious Sound

Nico was a curious and brave little mouse who lived in a cozy burrow, filled with bits of wool and dry leaves to keep him warm. He loved the tranquility of the forest but was also very curious about the sounds of the night. One day, while the moon shone in the sky and the wind rustled the trees, Nico heard a strange sound: 'Tu-tu-tu!'
It was a different sound, something he had never heard before. Intrigued, Nico decided to investigate. 'Where is that sound coming from?' he asked himself. Grabbing a tiny lantern he had made from a piece of walnut shell, he left his burrow in search of answers.
First, Nico went to the lake, where he met the frog Croak. 'Croak, are you making that strange sound?' Nico asked. Croak widened his eyes and replied, 'No, Nico. My sound is 'ribbit-ribbit,' and it has never changed! But good luck on your quest!'
Undeterred, Nico continued his journey. He followed the sound to a tall tree and saw a bat hanging upside down. 'Bat, did you make the 'tu-tu-tu' sound?' Nico asked, holding up his lantern. The bat yawned and replied, 'I only stay silent when I fly at night. It's not me, but I hope you find what you're looking for.'
More curious than ever, Nico followed the sound to a cave deep in the forest. Inside, he saw something unexpected: a small owl with big eyes and fluffy feathers. She seemed shy and was whispering to herself: 'Tu-tu-tu.'
'Are you okay?' Nico asked, approaching carefully. The little owl sighed and replied, 'I'm trying to learn how to sing like the other owls, but I still can't.' Nico laughed and gently said, 'Your sound is lovely! You just need practice, and soon you'll be the best singer in the forest.'
The little owl smiled for the first time. Feeling encouraged, she tried again: 'Tu-tu-tu!' Now, the sound seemed firmer and more confident. Nico applauded, and the little owl thanked him: 'Thank you, Nico. You're very kind.'
From that day on, Nico and the little owl became great friends. Every night, they explored the forest together, and the little owl sang with increasing confidence. Nico learned that sometimes a little encouragement can make all the difference, and the little owl discovered that practice and friendship make any challenge easier to overcome.
